Welcome to The Well, the premier Personal Training Studio in Laguna Beach. Founded in 2008 by fitness expert Brian Wisely, The Well offers concierge-level service for your fitness goals, the best trainers in the area and a professionally designed studio. Our underlying training philosophy, known as The Well Method™, is compiled from Wisely’s 25-plus-years experience as a fitness and wellness expert.

The Well Method™ is about working with you to design Your Fitness Lifestyle. A lifestyle that is fun yet produces the results that you want.  Composed of a purposeful Nutrition plan, Cardio-vascular Conditioning, Strength Training, Flexibility, and a proper Week-to-Week Schedule, your plan will be specific to you.

Accountability: Our services don’t start and stop at the front door. We can, and will,  offer expert advice on diet and healthy lifestyle choices to make sure what you do outside The Well supports what we do inside The Well.

Shawn Nethercott, CPT

 Shawn is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified CrossFit Trainer. He is committed to promoting active, healthy lifestyles and their positive effects on the mind, body and spirit. He enjoys the opportunity to develop relationships with his clients and work with them on a personal basis. 

Bobby Lee

 Bobby Lee is a nationally published Fitness Expert and a former Fitness Editor of Men’s Fitness Magazine. He is a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer, Youth Fitness Specialist, Senior Fitness Specialist and Golf Fitness Specialist. He is a member of the Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Fitness Professional. He holds a Black Belt and has over 35 years experience studying and teaching various Martial Arts. He believes in strength and flexibility in the body and the mind and is committed to helping clients reach their goals. 

Kyle Polries, CPT

Kyle is certified through the NASM and holds a diploma from The National Personal Trainer Institute. Originally from Oroville California he suffered a back injury as a youth basketball player. That event instilled Kyle's passion to learn about health based physical fitness and back health. Kyle now resides in Costa Mesa with his girlfriend and two Chihuahuas. 

Sandra Bennecke, CFT

Sandra is a ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer and AFAA Group Certified Instructor. Sandra’s positive outlook and support for her clients is what inspires her fitness programs.  She is equally adept at working with beginners and experts. An avid athlete growing up, she believes that fitness should be fun, not painful and boring. 

April Deweese

April  earned her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Illinois College. April has been a Personal Trainer for 17 yrs. She specializes in whole-food plant-based nutrition for reversing and preventing disease from eCornell University, weight management, strength training, sports conditioning, rehab, functional training, fitness competition, leaning out and building lean muscle.  April utilizes free weights, kettlebells, medicine balls, functional equipment, TRX, and body weight exercises to help you reach your fitness goals.

Ryah Arthur

 Ryah is a former professional surfer, CHEK trainer and certified personal trainer. He seeks to supplement his clients lifestyle with exercise, mobility training and holistic coaching. He endeavors to grow and strengthen clients physically, emotionally and spiritually through fitness.
